![]() ![]() Has a +4 enchantment instead of the vanilla +2 (to mimic the summon spell Mordenkainen's Sword enchantment) Renamed as Mordenkainen's Force Blade and does not replace the summon spell Mordenkainen's Sword The only modification for this spell is it's renamed by DavidW as "Mordenkainen's Force Blade" and does not replace the summon spell Mordenkainen's Sword This is the default Mordenkainen's Sword in IceWind Dale that works in BG2 With a little bit of extracting from SCS, I finally got the spell to work without having to install the other IceWind Dale spells as I didn't want to install them. I missed the cool looking spell from IceWind Dale versus the summon spell that you have for BG2. But I would definitely recommend IWD:EE which had a flawless multiplayer experience for us.Was looking for a mod to use the spell Mordenkainen's Sword from IceWind Dale to Baldur's Gate 2. Who knows, maybe you won't run into the bug. So I would say don't bother, but we did manage to get a solid 20-30 hours or so and it was lots of fun while it lasted. We couldn't resolve this one so we gave up. The cutscene couldn't conclude without him being talked to, so we couldn't progress (everyone in the cutscene stood around idle and it never ended). The third one was an essential NPC who became invisible off screen during an in-engine cutscene. We spawned another one of him in with the console and were able to progress. Twice the commander during the goblin siege went invisible while we were completing a quest and we couldn't talk to him to end the quests. I'm not sure how the bug is triggered, but it happened to us three times. Primarily, there's an issue with NPCs going invisible and being untargetable. There are some multiplayer bugs in IWD2 that never got fixed by unofficial patches. The only reason I would say "don't bother". Not good for players with short attention spans. If the window is out of focus for any of the players, weird things happen. ![]() There were a few times where this didn't work and we had to exchange saves and exported characters from the host to load everyone back in to the correct character. Every time you load a game, the host has to make sure every player loaded in and is set up with their character before starting. Load/save is extremely annoying in multiplayer. Basically, you need identical installations. We had to make sure all of us used exactly the same options when applying the patches. Game Ranger is easy enough to set up but IWD2 has community patches, widescreen fix, unfinished business etc. Performance was good and we didn't have any lag issues or anything, but there's a few things to be aware of: It's possible, but not a great experience.Ī few years ago I played IWD2 with 2 friends using GameRanger.
